Le Flocon
Six faceted branches, with the Swiss cross at their heart. You break it branch by branch, and keep the cross for last.
The piece
Designed in Versoix, Geneva, dimensioned to the millimetre.
Registered design · 132 × 132 × 12 mm · 90 g · blond, milk, dark.
The drawing
Drawn before it is crafted.
Everything starts with a drawing sheet: the piece from the front and in profile. Six branches each bearing two twigs, an openwork star at the centre, and the cross set in its middle. This is the drawing that is registered, and protected for ten years.
It then goes into volume, facet by facet, and on to a prototype. We design the mould; partner chocolatiers in French-speaking Switzerland craft the chocolate in it.

The material
Sharp facets, a striated cross.
Not a single curve: planes meeting in clean edges. Under raking light, each facet takes a different tone of the same chocolate, and the six diamond-shaped openings let daylight through the piece.
At the centre, the Swiss cross is striated with fine oblique lines, like a seal.
The editions
Blond, milk or dark.
One mould for all three: the facets stay, the chocolate changes.
The gift box
A round window onto the piece.
The box is red, marked with the Swiss cross — 182 × 182 × 20 mm. Around the window, a golden Alpine frieze parades herd and herdsmen: you see Le Flocon before you even open the box.
Slide the sleeve off, and the piece appears whole, in a frame scattered with small white crosses.
